DIRECTIA SILVICA CLUJ 

Directia Silvica Cluj (Cluj Forest District of National Forest Administration) ,is a public institution from Forest and Agriculture Ministry . It is responsible for : conservation and development of forestry fund ; forest sanitation and cleaning ; certifiing solutions for providing a normal regim of forest cutting and regeneration to ensuring forest’s permanence and health state, proper emplacements, maintenance and management of forest roads or another transport equipments needed for timber exploitation afforestation and reforestation measures ; prevention, detection and control of forest diseases and pest; application of suitable measures for limiting detrimental effects of the use of pesticides on animals (game fauna); hunting and fishing on the Cluj county ; integral fulfillment of fish production in mountain rivers and lakes setting up and integral achievment of special programs for production and revaluation of forest fruits and edible mushrooms, as well as for revaluation of seeds, rresin, fir cones, medicinal and aromatic herbs from spontaneous flora ; One of the outmost tasks is public education in the spirit of care , love and respect for the forest .
